Brunswick in Italia

Who knew!? The Brunswicks made it over to Italia! Friday night was a good ole' night of American fun! Florence University of the Arts sponsored a night of bowling! Myriam, Julian, Brianna, and I hopped a bus to the outskirts of Florence. The bowling alley was in the most American looking shopping center I've seen yet. The building had a movie theatre, arcade, Internet cafe, bowling alley, and American cafe! After a game of bowling, we all piled into a booth in the American cafe, thrilled to find a restaurant that sold nachos (WITH SOUR CREAM!! Unheard of in Italy!), potato skins, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs. Instead of skimping and saving our money, we ordered the lot! After not having greasy foods in months, I can't explain how satisfying a potato skin can be as it slides down your throat! Billiards came next- we had a blast! As we made our way back into Florence, we got off at SMN, only to find that our connecting bus wouldn't be at the stop for 30 minutes. With the brisk wind in our faces, we worked off our greasy thighs on the 25 minute walk home.
